🌟 Mobisurfers – Surfing life on wheels! 🌟

We’re a community-platform of mobility scooter and wheelchair riders who “surf” the pavements, pathways, and cycleways with freedom, fun, and friendship. Whether it’s a coffee catch-up, a scenic ride, or just enjoying the outdoors, Mobisurfers can inform you about these in an effort to celebrate our independence and the joy of the journey.

Welcome to Mobisurfers! 🌊

Ever wondered what a Mobisurfer is? The name might sound playful, and that’s exactly the point! Where wave surfers take to the ocean with a surfboard, Mobisurfers ride a different kind of wave — the pavements, pathways, and cycleways of our towns, cities, and countryside. Instead of surfboards, we use our mobility scooters, electric wheelchairs, or other trusty mobility vehicles.

Mobisurfers are people who value freedom, friendship, and fun. We are those who love exploring the outdoors, catching up with friends over coffee at the mall, or rolling along a riverside path on a sunny afternoon. Our wheels give us the independence to surf through daily life and enjoy the journey along the way.

Here in New Zealand, many councils are helping make this possible by maintaining safe and welcoming “surfways” — the shared spaces and paths that connect us with the world around us. And that’s what Mobisurfers is all about: celebrating that freedom, sharing stories, offering tips, and enjoying life together.

So whether you’re a seasoned rider or just curious about joining the ride, welcome aboard. Grab your wheels, hit the pathways, and let’s surf this journey of independence and joy — the Mobisurfers way ! 🚀
